Manual harvest followed by vinification in oak as well as stainless steel, with little to no winemaking intervention. Then a long period of maturation on the gross lees. This pure wine is neither fined nor filtered.
Containing just 26 g/l of residual sugar, this Auslese has power, intensity and beautiful ripe characters. Spicy, tangy and full of energy, with a perfectly integrated note of botrytis. An excellent accompaniment to food.
Steffensberg is an exclusively south-facing vineyard with grey and copper-red slate soil.
