Cabernet Franc
Compared to Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc has less tannin and can therefore be drunk at a younger age. It also has less power, colour, aroma and body than its Bordeaux relative. The variety is now doing particularly well in Italy’s Bolgheri appellation, home of the Super Tuscans.
