Pinot Blanc / Weissburgunder
The lightest-berried of all the Pinots, this grape looks quite similar to Chardonnay. Ripening relatively late, it makes pure, full-bodied wines with fresh, appley acidity and good ageing potential. Matured versions are often reminiscent of fresh bread. Due to its understated character, Pinot Blanc is popular in blends.
