Manual harvest followed by vinification in oak as well as stainless steel, with little to no winemaking intervention. Then a long period of maturation on the gross lees. This pure wine is neither fined nor filtered.
The old vines in the Zeppwingert vineyard deliver exceptionally concentrated, multidimensional Rieslings. The 2024 vintage is no exception, showing pronounced minerality, precise acidity and great potential.
The ‘Zeppwingert’ vineyard is located directly next to the well-known ‘Batterieberg’ vineyard and is characterised by dark grey slate soils. The vines are a remarkable 100 years old.
