Hand-picked and hand-selected grapes. Gentle pressing followed by wild-yeast fermentation in stainless steel. Maturation for eleven months on the fine lees to lend added complexity and creaminess. No filtering or fining.
The 2023 Riesling Gottesfuss is still a little reticent on the nose, showing citrus zest, dark berries and a bouquet of fresh flowers. The palate is remarkably concentrated and full, with a creamy texture as well as dark-berry and citrus notes. Pronounced salinity underscores this wine's Burgundian character, leading to a dense, mineral finish.
From 120-year-old ungrafted vines that grow on steep slopes consisting of the finest red and grey weathered Devonian slate soils.
