Meticulous sorting in the vineyard to first ensure that all the fruit is immaculate, and second, to forego the need for fining agents or any other treatments back at the winery. Wild-yeast fermentation in stainless steel.
This Riesling has a delicate nose, showing citrus, stone fruit and fine floral hints. Light, dry and streamlined on the palate, with crisp, spritzy acidity harmonising beautifully with a lovely sense of freshness. There is an appealing intensity of flavour, with pronounced notes of quince, apple and citrus, complemented by a touch of mint and a fine, saline minerality on the finish.
Grey and blue slate dominate the south-facing Krettnacher Euchariusberg.
