The base wine is raised in used oak barrels. Traditional bottle fermentation followed by 32 months of lees ageing. No dosage and no sulphur added after disgorgement.
Incredible finesse and texture. Fine mousse, elegant yeasty notes. Spicy, wine-like and harmonious – but focused.
The Pinot Noir grapes for this sparkling wine come from the Nackenheimer Engelsberg vineyard, where calcareous soils from the Upper Rotliegend period are interspersed with veins of red shale.
