Organic
The primary focus during the vinification stage is on the preserving and expressing the purity of the fruit picked in the vineyard. Selective manual harvest followed by slow fermentation based on the wild yeasts that occur naturally in the vineyard – a process that can last more than 10 months. Maturation in traditional Mosel Fuder (oak casks).
Complex and inviting, with oriental spice, mint and grapefruit. Silky, slightly creamy mouthfeel. Remarkably delicate but with inner concentration. Voted 'best dry single-vineyard Riesling 2025' by Vinum.
The Falkenlay plot is located between Fahrlay and Rothenpfad. The soil is deeper than in other vineyards and characterised by grey slate. Protected from the cold winds blowing in from the eastern mountain saddle, the grapes always reach a special level of ripeness here. Clemens Busch practises certified organic and biodynamic viticulture.
