Vinification exclusively in stainless steel – resulting in a wine with all the fresh, fruity, crisp attributes of a Sauvignon Blanc from Sancerre.
On the nose, this is an expressive Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc showing yellow fruit, yellow exotic fruit, gooseberry, pear and fine aniseed and peppery notes. Beautifully fresh and elegant on the palate, with a rounded mouthfeel, juicy citrus characters and a tang of salty minerality on the finish.
The fruit for this Sancerre comes from vines averaging 40 years of age on a patchwork soil consisting of equal parts calcareous clay, siliceous clay, and sandy clay.
