Manual harvest involving several passes through the vineyard. Maceration (skin contact) for a few hours followed by wild-yeast fermentation in stainless steel.
Open nose of stone fruit, pink grapefruit, lime and fresh blossom. Fresh, vital and chalky on the palate, with nice zip, tension and a vibrant, mineral-driven finish. An exceptional entry-level Riesling, with everything in the right place.
The grapes for this entry-level wine come from the prestigious Westhofen vineyards of Benn, Kirchspiel and Aulerde, where the vines grow on loess-loam and limestone-marl soils.
