No pesticides or herbicides in the vineyard. Gentle vinification with only subtle use of oak. An average of 25% new oak for both reds and whites.
Citrus fruit, citrus zest, green apple, flint and subtle reductive notes on the nose. A Puligny Montrachet of drive and depth, with firm acidity, wonderful balance and a persistent, saline finish offering orange zest and roasted nut characters.
The Bachelet brothers farm 20 hectares of vineyard in Puligny-Montrachet, Santenay, Saint-Aubin, Meursault, Maranges and Dezize-lès-Maranges. Their Pinot Noir vines have an average age of 55 years, their Chardonnay vines an average age of 45 years.
