No pesticides or herbicides in the vineyard. Gentle vinification with only subtle use of oak. An average of 25% new oak for both reds and whites.
A gently understated opening on the nose, with citrus fruit, citrus zest, green apple, wet stone and a hint of roasted nuts. Balanced and complex on the palate, with fine, firm acidity, delicate salinity and a persistent, elegant finish.
The Bachelet brothers farm 20 hectares of vineyard in Puligny-Montrachet, Santenay, Saint-Aubin, Meursault, Maranges and Dezize-lès-Maranges. Their Pinot Noir vines have an average age of 55 years, their Chardonnay vines an average age of 45 years.
