Maturation over a period of 20 months in 300and 400-litre vessels. No racking and almost no sulphur added.
This fresh Chenin Blanc has aromas of citrus and white fruit such as pear and mirabelle plum. Fine, floral hints of honeysuckle lend the wine an elegant lightness of touch. Dry on the palate, with delicate hints of nutmeg, green aniseed, and chalk. Saline finish.
Lieu-dit La Perlée consists of the classic white tuffeau soils beloved of Saumur. The vines are around 70 years of age.
