Maturation for 18 months in French oak barrels, of which a third are new.
Nose of black cherry and ripe red and black plum, complemented by spice, herbes de Provence and a hint of vanilla. Medium-bodied on the palate, with soft tannins and pronounced freshness. Balanced and approachable, with a long finish underscored by spice and dark berry fruit.
Gently undulating terroir in Lussac-Saint-Émilion, with clay-rich, silty soils on a bed of calcareous marl. Merlot accounts for all of the estate's 14.92 hectares under vine, which are framed by meadows, woods and a pond to help improve biodiversity.
