Hand-picked grapes transported swiftly back to the winery. Triage and gentle pressing. Fermentation in 1'200-litre oak vessels. All the estate's wines are vegan, i.e. no animal products were used in the vinification process.
This is a powerful Grosses Gewächs with a notably silky, rich character. Yellow fruit and exotic notes dominate on the palate, accompanied by a hint of salinity.
The vineyards of the famous Rüdesheim hill sit on medium-to-deep Taunus quartzite soils that have a light covering of slate.
