Organic
Selective harvest involving several runs through the vineyard. Maceration (skin contact) for three to five days followed by gentle pressing. Fermentation partially in 600-litre and 1,200-litre oak casks and partially in temperature-controlled stainless steel. Subsequent maturation on the gross lees, with occasional bâtonnage (lees stirring), then bottling in August.
Concentrated and full, showing depth and phenolic character. Herbal, mineral notes on a vibrant, juicy palate of exceptional length. A white wine of great finesse.
Sourced from 20 of the best rows of vines within the Nackenheimer Rothenberg Grosse Lage, where the terroir consists of massive red shale with a very thin layer of weathered topsoil.
