Maturation for 9 months in 1,600-litre oak casks. No fining – just briefly filtered.
Medium ruby. Concentrated nose of ripe red berries with a hint of plum and delicate spice. Vibrant on the palate, with a good balance of acidity and tannins. This medium-bodied Pinot Noir needs some ageing to fulfil its true potential.
The fruit for this Pinot Noir Alte Reben was sourced from 35- to 70-year-old vines that grow on soils comprised mainly of limestone and slate.
