Selective manual harvest of grapes at peak ripeness. Maceration (skin contact) for 12 hours followed by gentle pressing, fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, and subsequent maturation on the lees until just before bottling.
On the nose, this Riesling has a hint of reduction along with vineyard peach and apricot. The palate is very fine and velvety and has beautiful salinity. Yellow fruit notes underscore the finish.
The fruit for this bottling is sourced exclusively from the Steinbuckel and Kirschgarten Grosse Lagen (grands crus), where old vines grow above a bedrock of pure limestone.
