Following a manual harvest, the grapes are sorted a second time before being gently pressed and then fermented immediately. Fermentation and élevage take place exclusively in stainless steel, which helps to preserve aromatic freshness and purity.
This Riesling has a delightful nose of lime juice, citrus zest, green apple and fresh herbs with a hint of flint. The palate is dry with vibrant acidity, a lean body and an intense, citrus-inflected, long-lasting finish.
Situated on Clare Valley's eastern ranges at an altitude of 480 metres, the Riesling vines of Lodge Hill Vineyard sit on a brown loam topsoil overlaying siltstone. The climate is Mediterranean, with warm days and cool nights.
