Selectively picked grapes. Destemming and gentle crushing. A portion of the stems were included in the fermentation, which took place in in large oak barrels. The wine matured for 12 months in used oak vessels.
This Grenache has a delightful nose of fresh red berries, cherries, lavender, wet earth, tobacco and crushed stone. The palate has lovely silky tannins, juicy acidity and a medium body, culminating in a long, elegant finish. An impressive red wine.
Sourced from the west-facing Turkey Flat vineyard near Bethany, with soils mainly consisting of loam and limestone.
