Manual harvest in mid September. Fermentation at a controlled temperature of 18°C. Maturation for 10 months on the lees in stainless steel and large oak casks, followed by bottle ageing for eight months.
Straw-yellow colour. Fruity nose of yellow peach, lemon and grapefruit, with Mediterranean herbs such as sage, thyme and anise. Full on the palate, with pronounced spice and minerality. Candied citrus and almond notes on the finish.
Sourced from the historic Russeghine vineyard situated above the town of Ranzo Borgo (230 metres above sea level). The vines, which are at least 25 years old, sit on a red clay soil rich in skeletal and ferrous minerals.
