Manual harvest in September. Fermentation in stainless steel vats for around four weeks. The wine then spends further time in stainless steel. Cold stabilisation before bottling.
The 2023 Vermentino Capichera Classico shows citrus, mango, floral notes and Mediterranean herbs on the nose. It has a dry, vibrant and harmonious palate, with pronounced fruit and a long, salty, mineral finish.
The vineyards in Gallura (northern Sardinia) sit on yellow sandy granite soil. They enjoy a relatively elevated position, benefiting from refreshing sea breezes that temper the Mediterranean climate.
