Careful selection of hand-picked grapes. Destemming followed by gentle pressing. Fermentation and further maturation in top-quality vessels (228 liters, 40% new oak) made from Pfalz and French oak.
Open nose of citrus and ripe fruit. Lovely tension, power and depth animate the palate. The finish is fresh, underscored by ripe roasted notes.
Sourced from 22- to 30-year-old vineyard holdings situated on both sides of the Franco-German border around the village of Schweigen.
