Hand-picked grapes, with wild-yeast fermentation in stainless steel for around 15 days. Subsequent maturation for six months in stainless steel, and a further three months in bottle.
This Tuscan Merlot unfurls intense aromas of dark fruit, ripe forest fruit and fine spice on the nose, underscored by a hint of liquorice. Open and juicy on the palate, with velvety tannins, a balanced medium body and a fresh, fruit-driven finish.
From an amphitheatre-like vineyard situated in the slightly hillier part of the Bolgheri appellation – a unique microclimate influenced by Mediterranean winds. The soils are mainly comprised of deep, sandy loam with maritime sediment.
