Hand-picked grapes, with wild-yeast fermentation in stainless steel for around 20 days. Subsequent maturation for six months in French oak barrels, and a further six months in bottle.
This Bolgheri has an intensely fruit-driven nose, with cherry, forest fruit, plum, violet and a hint of spice. Juicy on the palate, with finely woven tannins and balanced acidity. Medium-bodied with great fruit concentration on a persistent finish.
From an amphitheatre-like vineyard situated in the slightly hillier part of the Bolgheri appellation – a unique microclimate influenced by Mediterranean winds. The soils are mainly comprised of deep, sandy loam with maritime sediment.
