Bündte is the name of the vineyard. Wild-yeast fermentation in open-top chrome-plated steel vessels, with 60% whole-bunch. Foot-treading ensures a gentle maceration. The wine spends 12 months in French 225-litre oak barrels (30% first-use).
Intense aromas of red berries and violet, delicately underscored by subtle roasted notes. Balanced and finely structured on the palate, with pure fruit expression and tremendous finesse. Long-lasting finish. Great potential.
Bündte is a monopole site in Jenins and one of the region's highest vineyards, rising above the Rhine Valley up to an altitude of 645 metres. Comprising 1.5 hectares, it is surrounded by walls in the manner of a Burgundian clos. The organically farmed Pinot Noir vines in this holding (one third Swiss and two thirds Burgundian clones) were planted between 2017 and 2019.
