Grapes from organically farmed vineyards, picked and destemmed by hand. Fermented and raised for five to ten months in cement tanks.
Fresh nose of red berries, pepper, liquorice, spice and Mediterranean herbs. On palate, this is a refreshing, approachable and juicy Cabernet Franc with soft tannins. Fruit-driven and highly elegant on a persistent finish.
The estate comprises 13 hectares of vineyard around the village of Varrains in the heart of the Saumur-Champigny appellation. This wine comes from the youngest vines on the property, which are sandy with proportions of loam and limestone.
