Special characteristic

Selective manual harvest of grapes at peak ripeness. Maceration (skin contact) for 12 hours followed by gentle pressing, fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, and subsequent maturation on the lees until just before bottling.

Intense nose of yellow fruit. Compact, juicy palate underscored by chalky notes, candied fruit and a hint of salinity on the finish.

The fruit for this bottling is sourced exclusively from the Steinbuckel and Kirschgarten Grosse Lagen (grands crus), where old vines grow above a bedrock of pure limestone.
