Hand-picked Riesling fruit transported swiftly back to the winery. Meticulous selection (limited yield of around 35 hl/ha) followed by gentle pressing. Fermentation in stainless steel, where the wine remains on its fine lees for a few months before bottling.
Intense on the nose, with yellow fruit and floral notes. Well delineated on the palate, with a direct attack, good substance and stimulating acidity. An outstanding and approachable village-level wine.
The grapes for this village-level Riesling come from steep, south-west-facing sites in Lorch, where slate and quartzite are the predominant soil types.
