Hand-picked and hand-selected grapes. Gentle pressing followed by fermentation, malolactic fermentation and maturation in first- and second-use French oak barrels. Blending after almost one year, with a further two years of bottle ageing before release.

Citrus zest, nectarine, mint, white blossom and delicate butter notes on the nose. Dense and compact on the palate, with firm yet well-integrated acidity, wonderful depth and impressive interplay of richness and energy.

Perched on a cool, exposed mountain top with meagre and infertile Franciscan shale soils, this 16-hectare estate is dry-farmed according to the principles of sustainable viticulture.
