Hand-picked and hand-selected grapes. Fermentation on the skins in a traditional open-top oak fermenter. Gentle pressing followed by maturation for around 18 months in Burgundian oak barrels. Then bottling.
A racy Pinot Noir of great depth, with ripe red fruit and a supporting tannic structure. This wine has a soft mouthfeel and an elegant and pleasant finish.
Since 2004, the Fürst family have owned plots in the famous Schlossberg vineyard overlooking the town of Klingenberg. Their holdings here consist of a range of quite unique, steep terraces that enjoy an exceptional microclimate thanks to the dry-stone walls bordering the site. This boundary is under heritage protection, having been built such a long time ago. Records documenting the vineyard's privileged location date back to 1646.
