All of Julian Huber's wines, both red and white, are fermented dry as result of spending an extending period on their lees. Maturation for 16 months in barriques, of which approx. 30% are new.
Remarkable finesse on the nose, with intense notes of ripe berries, sour cherry, blood orange, and flowers, complemented by a hint of noble oak. This is a linear, fresh, intense Pinot Noir on the palate, with ripe, concentrated fruit. The tannins are fine and spicy, while the finish is fruit-forward and persistent.
Julian Huber's main red variety is Pinot Noir, while his main white grapes are Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris. Apart from taking advantage of excellent soils and climatic conditions, Huber also achieves high quality through low yields.
