Manual harvest followed by fermentation in stainless steel and subsequent maturation for 11 months in 3'000-litre oak casks.
This Tempranillo has a seductive nose, with fine, fruit-inflected aromas of sour cherry and red forest fruit alongside herbal and spice notes. A lovely sense of freshness emerges on the palate, complemented by velvety tannins and a medium body. The wine remains fine and elegant all the way through to a long finish.
From a 1.46-hectare plot planted 830 metres above sea level in 1936. Over 90% of the vines are Tempranillo, rounded off with a small proportion of Garnacha and Bobal. Situated to the north of the River Duero, the climate here is continental in nature, with considerable fluctuations in daytime and night-time temperature. The soil consists of sandy loam interspersed with gravel.
