Hand-picked and hand-selected grapes. Fermentation followed by gentle pressing. Subsequent maturation for 20 months in brand-new French oak barrels.
Deep ruby. The 2017 bottling of this Cabernet Sauvignon is a full-bodied, soft, elegant and perfectly balanced wine with beautiful tannins. Blackcurrant, graphite and spice notes. Deep and concentrated on the palate, with a tremendous finish. Shows the vintage's charming side, but has 20 years of ageing potential.
The fruit for this wine was sourced from the Champoux, Palengat and Wallula Gap vineyards. Champoux, situated at an elevation of between 600 and 800 metres, is one of the oldest vineyards in Washington State. Palengat has an extremely varied range of soils and was planted between 1999 and 2002. It belongs to the Horse Heaven Hills AVA. Wallula Gap is one of Washington State's warmest vineyards and has soils predominantly consisting of loam and basalt.
