Special characteristic

Hand-picked and hand-selected grapes. Whole-cluster cold maceration (no destemming) followed by fermentation in ancient Gallo-Roman vats. Gentle pressing then maturation for 12 months – 20% in first-use and 80% in used oak barrels (second- to fourth-use). No filtering.

An abundance of dark and yellow fruit on the nose, with blackberry and raspberry. Rich fruit also on the palate. Silky tannins. A truly great wine.

The sandy soils of the Hominis Fides lieu-dit are very calcareous, interspersed with loam.
