Experienced winemaker and viticulturalist Achim von Oetinger uses stainless steel vats in his cellar to ensure a controlled, precise fermentation.

This is the 'second wine' of the Hohenrain vineyard. Intense on the nose with flint aromas. Chewy, taut, salty and tangy, with lots of energy, lovely texture, purity, and depth on the finish.

The Hohenrain grand cru covers 6.65 hectares and faces south-west. Loess-loam soil on a 15% gradient.
