Hand-picked and hand-selected grapes. Gentle pressing followed by fermentation mostly in temperature-controlled stainless steel. Wild-yeast fermentation of a small batch of fruit in a large oak cask. Subsequent maturation on the fine lees through the winter until bottling in the spring.

Pale lemon. Nose of herbs, spice and minerals. This Riesling has impressive tension, structure, character and linearity as well as a distinctly saline finish.

The fruit for this bottling is mainly sourced from slate and granite soils in the Halenberg vineyard.
