Special characteristic

Hand-picked and hand-selected grapes underwent an eight-hour cold maceration ('cold soak'). After being pressed gently and slowly, the juice was fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel, where it also then spent 10 months on the gross lees without any bâtonnage (lees stirring).

Intense lemon. Peppermint, apricot and peach on the nose. The palate is well-balanced, soft and complex, with pronounced minerality, delicate acidity and great length.

Bordering the Palatinate Forest (Pfälzer Wald), Hölle is a south-facing vineyard situated at the foot of the 600-metre Teufelsberg mountain. Consisting of weathered sandstone with limestone deposits, its soils tap into adequate moisture thanks to the presence of an underground spring.
