All of Julian Huber's wines, both red and white, are fermented dry as result of spending an extending period on their lees. Maturation in barriques, of which approx. 30% are new.
Julian Huber's white Malterdinger is now 100% Chardonnay. Slightly reductive on the nose, with fine notes of green apple and pear, fresh citrus, subtle herbal characters, and gentle oak notes. Bone dry on the palate, with firm, juicy acidity. Very linear and balanced. Long, complex finish.
Julian Huber's main red variety is Pinot Noir, while his main white grapes are Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris. Apart from taking advantage of excellent soils and climatic conditions, Huber also achieves high quality through low yields.
