Selectively picked grapes. Gentle pressing followed by fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, with malolactic fermentation to lend additional complexity.
Elegant nose of ripe white stone and citrus fruit. Beautiful balance on the palate, with a backbone of acidity and a rounded mouthfeel lending refreshment on the finish to this citrus-driven wine.
Situated on the right bank of the River Serein, the 2.75-hectare premier cru Montée de Tonnerre is virtually a grand cru in all but name. Its soil consists of calcareous clay. The vines have an average age of 38 years.
