This single-varietal Pinot Meunier bottling combines vintage champagne from 2017 (50%) with perpetual reserve wine (50%) from a solera system that began in 1992 and now consists of more than 20 vintages. Aged for 72 months on the lees and bottled as Extra Brut.
Complex and slightly oxidative aromas on the nose, with ripe apple, candied fruit, honey, hazelnut, pastry, and baking yeast. Full-bodied on the palate, with a juicy, broad mouthfeel and a powerful, long finish.
The estate has 7.25 hectares under vine, all situated in Vandières in the heart of the Marne Valley. Its 36 plots, mostly comprising old vines, grow on south- and south-east-facing slopes consisting of a patchwork of clay-limestone, chalk, sand and clay soils that make up a diverse and complex terroir.
