Crushing of grapes after harvest, followed by a cold maceration ('cold soak'). Fermentation in open-top fermenters. Subsequent maturation in French and American oak.

Deep ruby. Juicy and vibrant on the nose, with red and dark fruit such as raspberry, blackberry and cherry as well as a hint of violet blossom and sweet spice. Lively on the palate, with soft, fine-grained tannins providing the wine with length and depth.

Made from fruit grown on the gentle hills of Clare Valley's eastern reaches in South Australia. Rich soils comprised of shell limestone with a top layer of brown loam.
