Hand-picked and hand-selected grapes. Destemming followed by temperature-controlled wild-yeast fermentation for around 18 days, with regular pump-overs to prevent the grape skins from drying. Subsequent gentle pressing followed by maturation, including malolactic fermentation, for 12 months in French oak barrels.

Lustrous deep red colour, with red fruit, red and black cherry on the nose. Seductive, concentrated and elegant on the palate, with polished, well-integrated tannins and a juicy, characterful finish. A superb, approachable vintage – this wine is already showing well.

Sourced from the Fiesole, Perderuccio and Perdernuovo vineyards, which are situated at elevations of 350 to 450 metres above sea level. All three sites have an easterly aspect and galestro soils.
