Hand-picked and hand-selected grapes. Destemming followed by a cold maceration ('cold soak'). Wild-yeast fermentation in stainless steel, accompanied by regular punch-downs of the grape skins. Subsequent pressing, then maturation in new French oak barrels, with a further 15 months of bottle ageing.

Deep ruby. Intense nose of black fruit, dark berries, and plums. Spicy notes on the palate, with a touch of pepper and tobacco. Juicy, supple and complex, with great finesse, grippy tannins, discernible minerality and fine roasted characters. Long-lasting finish.

Sourced from vines sitting 1,250 metres above sea level on soils mainly composed of sand with minor elements of limestone and gravel.
