Special characteristic

Wild-yeast fermentation in 60-hectolitre conical wooden fermenters, with maceration (skin contact) lasting around 40 days. Subsequent maturation for 24 months in 25-hectolitre Slavonian oak vessels.

Rose petal, dried cherry, small red berries and nutty characters on the nose. These fine notes continue on the palate. La Tartufaia is a Barolo full of finesse and elegance, with exquisite tannins and excellent acidity.

La Tartufaia is a blend of fruit from several plots surrounding the truffle woods of La Morra. Tortonium, a blue- and grey-coloured, sandy marl rich in magnesium carbonate, dominates these vineyards.
