Special characteristic

Wild-yeast fermentation in 60-hectolitre conical wooden fermenters, with maceration (skin contact) lasting around 40 days. Subsequent maturation for 30 months in 25-hectolitre Slavonian oak vessels.

Delicate aromas of cherry, mint, truffle, honey, and summer flowers on the nose. The palate is very powerful, showing remarkable structure and elegance.

Sourced from the Massario vineyard (540 metres above sea level) in the La Morra, the 'grand cru' village famous for its Barolo. The soils consist predominantly of limestone and loam.
