Special characteristic

Meticulous selection of hand-picked grapes. Gentle pressing followed by fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel. Subsequent maturation on the fine lees before bottling in April of the following year.

Slightly smoky and spicy on the nose, with stone fruit and subtle blackcurrant. Very assertive on the palate, with pronounced minerality. The acidity is very vibrant, lending this Riesling elegance and freshness. Ripe fruit on a mineral finish.

Ziegler has extremely varied soil – ranging from loam and loamy sand, to gravel, sandy clay, and weathered limestone.
