Selective manual harvest involving several runs through the vineyard. Destemming followed by natural sedimentation to clarify the juice, then wild-yeast fermentation. Subsequent maturation on the fine lees, with regular bâtonnage (lees stirring) to enhance flavours.

Medium lemon. Bright aromas on the nose, with grapefruit and a hint of ginger. The palate shows depth and tension, with acidity and minerality leading to a juicy, long finish. Still quite closed, this wine needs a few years to showcase the top-class terroir from which it came. Elegant fruit, abundant minerality and vibrant acidity.

Situated on the edge of Forst, Jesuitengarten has a very warm microclimate. Its soil boasts high concentrations of weathered volcanic basalt along with clay, limestone, sandy loam and limestone gravel. With to its extremely high mineral content, it is considered one of the best vineyards in the Pfalz. An old Jesuit monastery in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse used to own the vineyard, hence the name Jesuitengarten.
