Special characteristic

Hand-picked and hand-selected grapes. Whole-cluster cold maceration (no destemming) followed by fermentation in ancient Gallo-Roman vats. Gentle pressing then maturation for 12 months – 20% in first-use and 80% in used oak barrels (second- to fourth-use). No filtering.

An abundance of dark and yellow fruit on the nose, with blackberry and raspberry. Rich fruit also on the palate. Massive yet silky tannins. Violet, plum, eucalyptus and tar on the finish. A truly great wine.

The sandy soils of the Hominis Fides lieu-dit are very calcareous, interspersed with loam.
