Careful selection and destemming of hand-picked grapes. Fermentation on the skins in separate batches for two to three weeks in open-top oak fermenters and vats, followed by gentle pressing. Subsequent maturation for 16 months in small oak vessels. No filtering or fining.

A Pinot Noir of great finesse, with red fruit, spice and smoky nuances on the nose. Assertive on the palate, with lovely tannins, complexity, depth, finesse and a juicy finish. Excellent potential.

Sourced from 25- to 50-year-old vineyard holdings situated on both sides of the Franco-German border around the village of Schweigen.
